Math Horror Movies: THE y

What will it intercept?

I don't know how many Math Horror Movies there will be this year because I've run through most of the obvious and quite a few obscure movie references, and they'll get more repetitive than a math drill.

This one was a little truoublesome. I originally thought to call it The Return of the y or somesuch because I thought "The y" might not be obvious. Once I drew it, I didn't feel that way. Except ... !

Then I had the logo (and post title) problem that is looks like "They"! So I played some font games. I'm happy with the result.

Dec Savage: The Quest of the 8-Sider

Even as I type "8-sider", I'm thinking "octahedron" not "octagon".

I haven't read Quest for the Spider yet, and I didn't know that it was so early in the series because it wasn't reprinted as a Bantam paperback until #68.

"Spiders are Arachnids, not Insects!!" "Science Geek!! Run for your lives!!!" Happy Tax Day! Watch out for all creepy-crawlers, bloodsuckers and things that go bump in the wallet. (Would that make them "buck-suckers"??)

Tangled!

A Post-Halloween Extra

Somewhere in a box in my basement, or in a collection that my mother kept, there is a hand-drawn original of this comic that, I think, dates to my early college Dungeons & Dragons days. (The DM liked spiders.) I remember my buddies telling me that I should submit it to Dragon magazine, but I never did.
