Pi Day 2024

The co-sin as well!

I know I usually save these guys for Talk Like A Priate Day, and use Sherlock Pi on Pi Day (3/14) but I decided to shake things up a little.

I've been getting a lot of suggestions for using the Sin of Pie is 0, which is amusing, but it's not my joke, so unless I can work it into my characters, I can't use it. (I could, but I choose not to.)

On the other hand, if you quarter pi, then the sin is radical 2 over 2. And so is the cos.

And your tan will be the one.

Yarr! Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!

It be Talk Like a Pirate Day, and I forgot all about it.

With everything going on, I hadn't even noticed anyone mentioning it coming up. So no "pi-rate" comic today, sadly.

Next year. Yarr!

One Pi, Two Pi

This one has a little star! This one's part of 2 PI ARRRR!!

In the past 14+ years, this comic has featured Sherlock Pi (a P.I.), Pirates, Pi vs. Pi, the Young Pioneers, and I. M. Pi.

There was also a Math Horror Movie ("A Slice of Pi") featuring Pi in the shower, but she didn't look right in the context of this comic. She was about to be attacked by Norman Deviation.

Happy Pi Day 2022 to All!

Here's a smaller version of the two images:

Walking the Plank

(Click on the comic if you can't see the full image.)
(C)Copyright 2021, C. Burke. "AnthroNumerics" is a trademark of Christopher J. Burke and (x, why?).

The Planck was a Constant part of Pirate life.

THis was one of those things that I jotted down a long time ago, and hadn't got around to creating. But it's nice to see the Picaroon gang sailing about other than on Pi Day or Talk Like a Pirate Day. Maybe not as nice for their lookout, of course.

A pithy comic for Pi Day

What else but the Sea could make Two pi arr? Not that they circumnavigate it any time soon.

Advertising note: Since I have ads turned on anyway, I figured I should advertise for myself. I have an ebook of flash fiction available for only $2.00 (not $3.14), and a paperback for $10.00 Check it out.

A clipper ship between a pirate and a barber.

If I hadn't named him Art already, I would have gone with Joe. After all, Joe Dimagio was the Yankee Clipper.

Maybe it should be Clip-Arr!

Some might think a one-eyed pirate barber would be out of his depth. That's the perception, any way.

If I use him again, maybe I'll mention what kind of ship he sailed!

Ken you defeat the Barbarie Dream boat? You can really test you Mettle.

Funny, I work on dialogue and/or narration for a while, as well as considering props ... and then just kept it simple.

Good chance that I used a similar joke to this before. But I like the Picaroons. The more of them, the better!
