Field tested! This works every time!

I almost didn't do this because I knew I'd agonize over the details of the coffee pot but I finished it. Then I decided to link it to the teachers room. Which meant that my coffee pot was now the wrong color and I had to change it.

I nearly posted a picture of the coffee machine in my classroom, but I wanted to avoid advertising. And then I tried doodling over a photo in the background, and that was terrible even as a doodle. But here it is.

Coffee Cup Day!

Thank you, come again. Maybe on 12-20-24.

I have been waiting for this for years because the lids on the coffee cups -- which haven't changed despite the cups changing -- say 12 - 16 - 20 on them. They fit the most common sizes sold in grocery stores and delis. Most of those places don't sell 24 oz coffee (or larger) like some of the chain stores do. However, sometimes the larger cups have different size lids.

When the pot has been sitting there long enough -- and there's still some in it -- you can nuke it, or add ice.

And, of course, I'm not dumping coffee that I went out and paid to have prepared for me! (Unless it was swill to begin with.)

More Math and Coffee (Number 1000!)

For the thousandth time, it's still only two cups. Or three.

This is why the Imperial system is superior to Metric. I can happily drink my two or three cups, but you'll know that you're consuming hundreds, even thousands of milliliters!

Happy 1000th Comic. I hope no one was expecting A (x, why?) Wedding or something like that.

Coffee for a Saturday Morning

I've been a little under the weather this week, so fewer updates (sorry).
So here's a bonus comic. The link was posted by Anonymous on the thread back in September when that thread seemed to get a popularity boost.

I've chosen to be sincerely flattered by the imitation, particularly because all my marks are still included. It makes for a good explanation of the first comic were it introduced in a math class.

1/2 a tea squared. That's my position, and I'm sticking to it.

Inspired by some of the comments on the Coffee Logic thread, and those over on the Language Log blog.

That's English-teacher code for I'm not with them.

Edit: More about chai tea.

Edit: It occurred to me today that I could have just had a tablecloth over the table instead of sitting them all behind a counter. My artistic ability needs to catch up with my mind's eye.
