Now Digg This!

If you do a search for "(x, why?)", you will currently get close to 100 comics that have been listed. Sadly, most of them only have 1 or 2 diggs. (One actually has 12! Can you find it?) You can improve the numbers by clicking on any of the links.

I wanted to include the list here, but my attempt didn't work very well.

That would be back in comics # 42 and # 38, respectively.

And let's not forget the time Three Saved Nine. (I bet you she won't let him forget it.)

Consensus

A long time ago, I learned that Science was about observation, data and proof, and there was always room for debate. And, the ones using the word 'deniers' should get a new dictionary and look up the word 'consensus'.

Ironically, this kind of Inquisition could stifle the most inquisitive minds.

Welcome to the Students of Oakhaven High

If you got here through the following link: http://oakhavenhigh.wikispaces.com/Math+Websites, welcome the Mr. Burke's Math Blog, as known as (x, why?).

Not all the comics are math comics. Some are school-related, and some are just plain geeky because some math teachers were geeks in college (and some of us still are).

If you have any questions or comments or suggestions, here is a great place to put/ask them.

I hope you enjoy the site, and sorry about that whole summer school thing.

Happy 4th of July!

Enjoy your beaches, backyard barbecues, and swimming pools.

I didn't know whether I wanted bottle rockets blasting off for comic number 3-2-1 or fireworks and explosions. I settled for a flyover, which, hopefully, I'll be seeing later today!

The Shape Test

I'm not one for posting random blogsam and jetspam, popular in Facebook and other places, but this one fit the theme:

You Are Skilled

You are balanced and competent. You value harmony.
Other people see you as outgoing, hyper, and even a bit overwhelming.
Your ideal romantic relationship is unconventional, wild, and very public.
You do best in tasks that require you to be flexible, creative, and playful.

Modes

Actually, to have 'co-modes', I guess there should be a pair of 9's, too.
Or maybe the Tidy Bowl Man. Whichever.

Oddly enough, I have no idea what font I used in the original strip as I don't seem to have it on this computer. I had to cut and paste from the existing letters. If anyone recognizes the font, please let me know. Thanks.
