From numbskull to numberskull.

Mo' has a partner named Les. Curly has a near clone called Curly Open.

This has been a trip inside my head.

Another voice from the Peanut gallery!

Considering the first comics that I ever drew were Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang back in third or fourth grade, I had to commemorate this occasion. I used to have notebooks filled with my own little stories and I got really good at drawing most of the characters popular at the time (and earlier, because my older brothers had older books).

If I had any problem, it was that they were too tall. I'd start them from the top, too high above the ground. (I drew the ground first. I don't know why.) No one explained the concept of "three heads tall" until, oh, college or after. Then it sort of clicked, but I was doing other things by then. Like Super-Stick-Man!

This isn't my first Peanuts-oriented comic, by the way. Anyone remember the first one?

Sometimes you have to wear your altitudes on the outside.

That's about it. I haven't constructed any other puns from this.

Got Math?

I used the Math: Not Even Once in this comic, but I used it once before (many years ago) to criticize an unconstitutional soft drink limit law.

I guess the Island boys have transferred. They're too good to leave in the dustbin of history -- especially when they've been published in university level textbooks about logic, which they are lacking in.

It seems the most natural thing that in a world of Shapes, there would be a trapezoid ruler and keystone cops.

Yeah, I'll probably get them a new street to patrol somewhere down the line.

Circular Primes

Maybe I've come full circle. Maybe you saw what others saw a few days ago.

Welcome to Comic #1900. I usually try to make extra effort for the comics ending in 00, but it's been harder for find time to make the effort for regular comics. And for some time, I've been thinking about the year 1900 as a concept for the comic. But, honestly, while things did happen in that year, nothing spectacular popped out at me. Nothing about that year, other than being the last of the 19th century, came to mind.

And then the Calendar problem that I signed up for last month came along. I intended to rework it into a comic, but after four days (six actually, it was submitted before the 13th), I pretty much gave up and decided to use it as is.

The good news is that I can do anything I want for comic 1901. A mini with shapes, a comic with ANTHRO-Numerics(tm), or just teachers or family talking.

And in the back of my mind, I know that Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming, and I really want to enjoy those.

After 15 years, coming up with new set theory or Venn diagram jokes gets difficult. Granted, it's not like anyone is reading through all the old comics.

I guess I should be thankful that I only started the comics 15 years ago, or I might've need double the amount!

And, yes, temporal status is still in effect. TV shows up us that child actors grow out of their parts long before all the good stories are told. And the replacement casts just never catch on the same way.

Shipping Geometry and shipping

I was explaining again that "midsegment" is a mash-up (I actually uttered the word portmanteau as an aside) of "midpoint" and "line segment".

Where the jump-off from "a midsegment" to "amidships" came in, I can't be certain.

Nothing else going on today, right?

Well, there was a Blood Moon that I missed this morning because I finally slept to a normal time.

And I did have some professional development worksheet thingies. And there might've been comments about what "depression" means in a math context.

The opposite of depression would be elevation, in this context, for any of the lurker waiting to pounce on a mistake in the comments.

Don't get me started about the Head of Vector!

I didn't get to do any of the Halloween comics that I actually planned out in advance. Ironically, this wasn't one of them. This one came just came to me Halloween evening.

Evil points this way sounded better than Evil has a direction.

What's your opinion?
