Here's the initial sketch. I'll update it later and pretend this never happened.
It's either that or celebrate The-Day-After-Talk-Like-a-Pirate-Day Day like some kind of scallywag!
UPDATE: Here's the finished comic strip. .
I did the original sketch on an iPad without the benefit of the Internet nor access to earlier comics. As a result, there were two mistakes in the initial sketch. Did you catch them both?

Well, there's the location of the 'x' on the hat. Uh... does the location of beach to ship count for anything?
I wonder if the Bermuda triangle likes wearing shorts...
I meant it more as a rhetorical question. But I did notice later that the X had moved on his hat. That is a difference, but not necessarily a mistake, per se.
And as for background, I wasn't going to try drawing a ship with my finger on the iPad, so I just put in a rail. (But I guess it does look like a beach.)
The "mistakes" I was refering to, when you compare older strips, are that the eye patch is over the wrong eye, and the captain shouldn't have a peg leg. (The first mate does.)
(My first comment was deleted. Typos corrected.)
