Natural Number

Athreeduh Fourteen. She just floors me.

She may not be natural but she sure is rational, which some students find hard to fathom.

Their confusion stems from being told "Pi is irrational" along with "Use 3.14 for Pi". Through miscommunication, they start to believe that 3.14 IS Pi and then throught the Transitive Property or Something "3.14 isn't a rational number because Pi isn't rational" even though they are using a Rational approximation for Pi and not the value (or symbol) itself.

I also had to explain to a class how the RATIO 22/7 could not possibly be Irrational, which by definition means that it can't be written as a Ratio of two natural numbers, like 22 and 7.

I also write Fiction!
