Better than 16 out of 20!

With Halloween approaching, thoughts about the number 13 come and go. And it dawned on me that on many exams (those with 20 all-or-nothing questions), 13 would be a passing grade. You can get seven wrong, and you're okay.

So for some students, thirteen wouldn't be sad bad. And for others, the glass would be 35% empty.
